Lexi, a member of SAHC since 2009 and currently playing in the W2s and O35s, is running the London Marathon in April for The Brain Tumour Charity.

It's her first marathon and for a cause that means a lot to her. It is 25 years since her dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour and was paralysed. He survived, beat his cancer and learned to walk and write again, but it changed everything. In recent years, her nieces lost their uncle to a brain tumour; then a member from Berko HC passed away last year; a few families from the school where Lexi works have been affected; and a friend at our very own St Albans HC has been having some treatment. So she felt the time has come to try and help make a difference and try and raise as much as possible to help others.

On Saturday 10th February, the club is helping with a fundraising day. Lexi and friends will be hosting a bake sale during the day from 10am, and a quiz night from 7.30pm.
