The end of the 2023/24 season was marked by the women’s club dinner, a fancy dress extravaganza of curry, drinks, speeches, awards and dancing to ABBA.
Thanks to everyone who helped organise, set up, tidy up, prepare and serve the food and drinks, and our wonderful captains for all their amusing and succinct speeches, and birthday wishes to our club captain, Liz Morgan. Why was she born so beautiful?
This year there were Bob the Builders, Cars, Shreks, Dalmations, two teams of Barbies, Traitors and Mad Scientists. Special mention to anyone on roller skates; Claudia Winkleman; and Donna, who wore her tasteful new slippers all evening.
All sorts of achievements were celebrated, including promotion for the awesome W2s, who will play in the heady heights of the East Premier League next season. Also the amazing Masters players who are representing their country this year - even the Welsh ones. Congratulations to the magnificent O45s, who have beaten Harrogate 2-0 today to make it to the national cup finals!
