Our mission is to grow a tree that supports tangerine players to become the best version of themselves, not just in hockey, but as people. We want to instil a life-long enjoyment of activity and hockey, so no matter if a player leaves the game for a little while, they can return to the game with confidence. Practising world class foundations is important to us, as whatever level a player is aspiring to play, these are the foundations which gives a player the ability to execute a range of skills within any playing environment.
How do we pith it all together?
To achieve our mission, we aspire to create a supportive, collaborative and tenacious environment for our coaches. Since 2020, we have introduced a development programme for our youth section which is followed by our Tangerine coaching army. We are all now connected towards the same objective and can visualise the long-term vision.
We continue to develop our on-pitch roles, with the introduction of the Head of Hockey, John Garner, who oversees the overall experience for all club members and the Coach Coordinator, Lucy Briscoe, overseeing the resourcing, support and development of our club coaches since 2019, we have started to create a feeling of community for our coaches.
